Data Engineer

About the role

The Data & Automation team acts as a Center of Excellence for data and process optimization within the OMR Tech department. You will be responsible for the technical foundation of the data platform, building and maintaining robust data pipelines and infrastructure that support data-driven decision-making across all business units. This role involves bridging complex data structures with smart automation to create real business impact.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop ELT pipeline infrastructure, including Airflow DAGs on Cloud Composer and connector tools like Airbyte and Fivetran.
• Build custom Airflow operators and integrate new data sources into the data warehouse.
• Optimize BigQuery infrastructure, including performance tuning, partitioning, clustering, and cost monitoring.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting for pipeline health, data quality, and operational SLAs.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and participate in code reviews.
• Integrate AI solutions into the data platform for automated diagnostics, data quality checks, and developer tooling.
