About the role
Checkout.com is seeking a dynamic and creative Commercial Counsel to join their London headquarters. The role involves managing the commercial contract pipeline, including drafting, negotiating, and closing strategic partner deals and core customer agreements as the company continues to scale globally.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including customised customer contracts, strategic partnerships and supplier contracts.
- Resolve legal issues and contract interpretation matters that arise during negotiations.
- Produce and maintain various standard agreements such as NDAs, supplier and customer agreements.
- Advise on special projects, including new product developments, while considering legal and regulatory impact.
- Advise on commercial legal issues and risks.
- Conduct research on various multijurisdictional legal issues.
- Support strategic projects and initiatives by providing creative, proactive and results-oriented advice.
