About the role

Checkout.com is seeking a proactive Commercial Counsel to join their London-based legal team. The role involves managing the commercial contract pipeline, including drafting, negotiating, and closing strategic partner deals and core customer agreements to support the company's global scaling efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including customised customer contracts, strategic partnerships and supplier contracts.
  • Resolve legal issues and contract interpretation matters that arise during negotiations.
  • Produce and maintain various standard agreements such as NDAs, supplier and customer agreements.
  • Advise on special projects, including new product developments, considering their legal and regulatory impact.
  • Advise on commercial legal issues and risks.
  • Conduct research on various multijurisdictional legal issues.
  • Support strategic projects and initiatives by providing creative and results-oriented advice.
