Data Engineer

About the role

The Data & Automation team acts as a center of excellence for data and process optimization within OMR. You will be responsible for the technical foundation of the data platform, building and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure that support data-driven decision-making across all business units. This role involves managing ELT infrastructure, optimizing BigQuery performance, and integrating AI-driven solutions to enhance pipeline diagnostics and developer tooling.

Responsibilities

• Manage ELT pipeline infrastructure, including developing and monitoring Airflow DAGs on Cloud Composer.
• Build custom Airflow operators and integrate new data sources into the data warehouse.
• Optimize BigQuery infrastructure, including performance tuning, partitioning, clustering, and cost monitoring.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting for pipeline health, data quality, and operational SLAs.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for ingestion and dbt.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and the development of a central audience data platform.
• Experiment with AI agents and automation to reduce manual work and improve pipeline diagnostics.

Qualifications
