Senior Backend Engineer (IoT)

About the role

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will join a product team dedicated to developing and maintaining the Toniecloud IoT services. You will focus on continuous discovery, usability, quality, and security to ensure a top-tier experience for millions of users worldwide. Your role involves playing a central part in the IoT and Control stream to ensure seamless integration of IoT products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Toniecloud IoT services to meet the needs of millions of users.
• Manage the Toniecloud ecosystem, including a Django backend platform with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Maintain an IoT messaging stack that processes technical diagnostic data from Tonieboxes globally.
• Ensure service reliability and availability to meet a 99.99% SLA.
• Collaborate within a cross-functional team to champion technical excellence and deliver seamless services.
• Work with Product Managers to ensure a high-quality user experience for device setup and configuration.
