Senior Data Scientist, Buyer

About the role

The Buyer Domain at Vinted is seeking talented Data Scientists to join their ML-focused teams in Search Relevance and Recommender Relevance. You will build and optimize end-to-end machine learning models to improve search and recommendation systems, ensuring members can discover unique items across the platform. This role involves partnering with engineers and product stakeholders to translate business problems into ML objectives and validating changes through rigorous A/B testing.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize end-to-end machine learning models for retrieval, ranking, and personalization.
• Partner with platform and software engineers to serve models in production with high throughput and low latency.
• Lead or contribute to collaborative design proposals for new modeling approaches and training pipelines.
• Define tracking requirements, perform offline evaluations, and design and analyze online A/B tests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify product opportunities and align on technical trade-offs.
• Share knowledge and contribute to the growth of other scientists within the ML Guild.
