About the role

The Senior IT-Systemadministrator / 2nd Level Support will ensure stable and secure IT operations while actively developing and optimizing IT infrastructure, processes, and solutions. This role offers a clear development path toward team leadership, allowing the candidate to take on increasing technical and organizational responsibilities over time.

Responsibilities

• Installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting in a heterogeneous IT infrastructure
• Support of server and client systems including Windows, VMware, VDI, and thin clients
• Management of network, security, and storage components including FortiGate firewalls, WLAN, Aruba and Arista network components, VPN, and 2FA
• Maintenance and optimization of virtualization and high-availability solutions such as SAN and mirrored data centers
• Administration of Microsoft 365 and Azure services
• User and rights management in complex domain structures
• Support of backup, monitoring, and security solutions
• User support within the IT helpdesk
• Planning, procurement, and implementation of hardware and software
• Execution of IT projects and collaboration with external IT service providers
