Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Nextiva is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to modernize CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling. You will focus on optimizing the software delivery lifecycle, reducing developer friction, and implementing reusable infrastructure-as-code solutions. This role involves collaborating with engineering teams to enhance deployment safety and integrate AI-assisted capabilities into development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines as code across multiple services and engineering teams.
• Improve deployment safety through progressive delivery strategies including canary, blue/green, and feature-flag-based releases.
• Build reusable pipeline templates, shared libraries, and self-service tooling to streamline onboarding and shipping.
• Improve build performance through caching, parallelization, and other optimization approaches.
• Partner with engineering teams to identify and remove friction from local development, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Integrate AI-assisted capabilities into developer workflows for diagnostics, test generation, and failure triage.
• Implement software supply-chain practices including dependency scanning, artifact signing, and SBOM generation.
• Use Infrastructure-as-Code to provision and maintain the infrastructure supporting CI/CD.
