About the role
As an Agentic Software Engineer on the Platform Architecture squad, you will build multi-agent systems to autonomously refactor and modernize Sonar's codebase. You will focus on unifying SonarQube Cloud and SonarQube Server onto a single, portable architecture while defining the safety guardrails for autonomous refactoring. This role balances building agentic tooling with hands-on development in Java and Spring to ensure architectural integrity.
Responsibilities
- Design and build agentic refactoring pipelines for domain logic extraction and re-platforming.
- Define and implement safety guardrails including verification gates, automated test generation, and static analysis.
- Execute and validate real-world migrations such as Micronaut-to-Spring conversions and API convergence.
- Review agent-generated code and correct the agentic loops to improve system performance.
- Partner with internal squads to earn trust and drive adoption of new architectural standards.
- Evaluate emerging agent frameworks and techniques to accelerate engineering across the company.

Qualifications
- Hands-on experience building or operating multi-agent or LLM-agent systems in a production setting
