About the role

The Director of Mobile and Web Platform will lead the Client Engineering organisation, overseeing core architecture, engineering productivity, and quality engineering. This role is responsible for setting the technical direction and standards for Tide's frontend ecosystem to ensure it remains a competitive advantage. The leader will partner with staff engineers and engineering managers to solve complex technical challenges and drive delivery excellence.

Responsibilities

• Partner with staff engineers to drive a pragmatic frontend strategy and resolve bottlenecks in large-scale monorepo workflows.
• Evaluate the current tech stack and workforce model to maximize engineering leverage.
• Advocate for systems that provide global visibility into the product experience across all configurations.
• Implement a modern release engineering model with a comprehensive automation strategy for high-frequency deployments.
• Provide thought leadership on leveraging AI and agentic solutions within the client-side experience.
