Manager, Engineering - Identity

About the role

As the Engineering Manager for Identity, you will lead the team responsible for building and delivering the Identity and Access Management foundation for the Camunda 8 platform. You will own the end-to-end delivery of IAM components, coach and grow a team of engineers, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform is secure, enterprise-ready, and scalable. This role is critical to Camunda's long-term strategy and offers the opportunity to influence the evolution of the platform.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of reusable IAM components across the Camunda 8 stack including authentication, authorization, and federated organization management.
• Partner with engineering teams, SREs, QA, and product leadership to drive technical and product vision and manage the roadmap.
• Improve reliability and efficiency by maintaining stable build/release pipelines, shipping security fixes within SLOs, and reducing support load and incident rates.
• Grow and coach a team of senior and developing engineers by setting clear expectations and fostering a culture of autonomy and continuous improvement.
• Mature the SaaS offering for large-scale enterprise customers to ensure seamless integration with customer IAM solutions.
