About the role

As a Junior Computational Geometry Engineer, you will work on the geometry core of the Manufacturing Intelligence stack, which processes customer CAD models to determine manufacturing strategies and verify production. You will collaborate with experienced engineers to develop and maintain the engine that powers autonomous factory operations. Your code will be deployed directly to factory hardware, requiring a focus on robustness and real-world application.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the geometry core of the Manufacturing Intelligence stack
  • Reason about manufacturing processes for arbitrary customer CAD models
  • Implement robust algorithms to handle complex geometry, topology, and meshes
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to refine and test code for factory deployment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues arising from real-world, degenerate CAD data

Required skills

  • Computational Geometry
  • Linear Algebra
  • Numerics
  • C++
  • Python
  • Topology
  • NURBS
  • Meshes
  • Point clouds
