Working Student - Indexing Platform

About the role

The Aggregate team at Solactive is responsible for the intraday calculation of indices, managing live price streams and producing continuous output. As a Working Student, you will contribute production-bound code to the Java-based core platform and Python-based business integrations while working alongside senior engineers. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with high-performance backend systems in an international FinTech environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement well-scoped features and fixes in the Java calculation platform
• Write unit, integration, and performance tests for concurrent code paths
• Investigate and resolve correctness or performance issues with senior guidance
• Build and maintain Python integrations, connectors, and operational tools
• Contribute to monitoring and developer tooling to improve system observability
• Participate in design and code reviews and document technical learnings
