Founding Backend Engineer (Go)

About the role

TechBiz Global GmbH is a newly funded cybersecurity startup in Berlin seeking a Founding Backend Engineer to help design the core security, identity, and enforcement foundations of an AI-powered risk management platform. You will work from scratch on core platform components, shaping how modern enterprises manage risk using cloud-native systems and AI-driven analysis. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives in fast-paced startup environments and is passionate about cybersecurity and AI technology.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Go
• Design and optimize cloud-based solutions using AWS services
• Manage and optimize databases including PostgreSQL, Neo4J, Redis, and Elasticsearch
• Develop and manage containerized applications using Docker
• Automate processes using Bash or Python scripting
• Optimize and maintain RESTful APIs ensuring security and performance
• Monitor, debug, and improve backend performance, reliability, and scalability
