About the role

The Product Designer will shape digital in-vehicle experiences for Wayve’s development and demonstration fleet. This role involves designing tools for vehicle operators and guest-facing interfaces that help users interact with autonomous-driving technology. You will own product features from discovery through delivery, collaborating with product, engineering, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting research, observation and usability testing with operators, guests and customers
  • Translating user needs, complex technology and operational requirements into clear journeys, workflows and interactions
  • Applying inclusive and accessible design principles across a broad range of needs, abilities and contexts
  • Designing cohesive experiences across visual interfaces, sound, haptics and lighting
  • Creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes and polished, production-ready designs
  • Defining interaction states, edge cases and feedback in sufficient detail for implementation
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to balance user needs, product goals and technical constraints
  • Reviewing implementation, resolving design issues and maintaining a high-quality bar for the finished experience
