Data Platform Engineer

About the role

As a Data Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for building and evolving modern cloud platforms for Data and AI. You will combine cloud infrastructure, platform architecture, and modern technologies to create a stable foundation for analytics, data engineering, and AI use cases. You will work closely with clients to develop platform strategies and implement them technically.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and continuously evolve cloud-based Data and AI platforms
• Develop platform strategies and target architectures together with clients
• Provision modern cloud infrastructures on Azure or AWS automatically using Infrastructure as Code
• Work with Terraform or OpenTofu and modern CI/CD processes
• Design and evolve Databricks platforms regarding workspaces, compute, networking, identity, security, and governance
• Make architecture decisions and establish best practices for performance, security, governance, scalability, and cost optimization
• Develop reusable platform blueprints, standards, and automations
• Support data, analytics, and AI teams by providing stable and high-performance platforms
