About the role

The Chief of Staff acts as a strategic sparring partner to the CEO of a portfolio company, serving as a central interface for executing key strategic priorities. This role involves driving cross-functional initiatives, preparing decision-making materials, and ensuring transparency in company performance. Successful candidates will gain direct experience in mid-sized company development and transaction business, with the potential to transition into the AEM Unternehmerkapital Private Equity Operations team.

Responsibilities

  • Steer strategic topics in close cooperation with the CEO and support the implementation of central corporate priorities.
  • Provide strategic decision support through the preparation of decision templates, analyses, and recommendations.
  • Drive strategic priorities and cross-functional initiatives with high visibility and relevance for corporate development.
  • Build and develop a KPI dashboard to create transparency regarding performance, strategic progress, risks, and areas for action.
  • Manage and implement cross-functional projects for operational development, particularly through process optimization and efficiency increases.
  • Coordinate central interfaces between the CEO, management team, and relevant company areas to ensure consistent implementation of agreed measures.
