Lead Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

Halter is seeking a Lead Supplier Quality Engineer to manage quality systems and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality components from contract manufacturers. The role involves implementing statistical process control, resolving production failures, and auditing suppliers to maintain high standards for hardware used in agricultural environments.

Responsibilities

• Implement statistical process control methods for the manufacturing process of critical parts and work with suppliers to ensure this is reflected in their process control plan
• Run rapid sprint analysis with design engineers after production failures to unblock shipments and implement preventive measures
• Update and implement quality control documentation based on root cause analysis to protect against future failures
• Audit compliance with quality requirements at new suppliers and work to close any identified non-conformances
