Director of Engineering – Catalogue

About the role

The Director of Engineering will take end-to-end ownership of the Catalogue engineering domain, leading an organization of approximately 50 engineers across seven teams. This role involves driving technical direction, improving engineering performance and predictability, and fostering a culture of high performance and autonomy. Reporting to the CTPO, the director will partner with product leadership to translate business strategy into measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own the Catalogue engineering domain end-to-end, including delivery, quality, and technical direction.
• Lead and develop engineering managers and senior technical leaders.
• Establish metrics and operating rhythms to improve engineering performance and predictability.
• Reduce system complexity and operational load through automation and addressing root causes.
• Drive AI-enabled engineering and automation initiatives.
• Partner with product leadership to translate business priorities into an executable roadmap.

Qualifications
