Middle/Senior UX Designer

About the role

The Product Design Office at Eleks is seeking a Middle/Senior UX Designer to support a major German university hospital. The role involves designing and evolving user experiences for complex public-facing and internal web applications. The successful candidate will work within agile, interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, accessible digital solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize user journeys for different internal and external target groups
• Develop and continuously improve information architecture, navigation, and user guidance
• Plan and conduct user research, interviews, stakeholder workshops, and usability tests
• Create wireframes, clickable prototypes, user flows, and detailed design specifications
• Define and maintain design tokens, breakpoints, grid systems, and layout rules
• Build and evolve a version-controlled design system
• Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA, BITV 2.0, and EN 301 549 requirements
• Conduct design reviews and verify implemented interfaces against approved designs
