Terminal Engineer

About the role

Gasfin is seeking a Terminal Engineer to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the LNG terminal in Wilhelmshaven. The role involves coordinating daily work processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and acting as an interface between internal departments and operational partners. This position plays a key role in managing infrastructure projects that contribute to national energy security.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Terminal Manager in the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the LNG terminal
• Planning and implementing the integrated operation and maintenance plan for the terminal
• Coordinating daily work processes at the terminal including permit-to-work, maintenance and external services
• Acting as an interface for internal departments and operational partners
• Ensuring compliance with all safety, emergency and environmental requirements as well as legal regulations
• Conducting audits, inspections and safety inspections and assisting in the investigation of incidents
• Representing the Terminal Manager during his/her absence
• Preparation of reports and technical document management

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, process engineering or similar
• At least 3 years of experience in terminal operations or 5 years in the chemical/energy-related process industry
• Experience with safety and quality management systems (e.g. ISO, IMO, SIGTTO)
