About the role

The Purchasing Manager will lead the purchasing department for TFCM, a company specializing in metal structures and sheet metal components for the aeronautics and rail industries. Reporting to the Operations Director, the role involves managing a team of four buyers, optimizing costs, and ensuring quality and delivery performance across three facilities. The position is strategic, focusing on supplier management, contract negotiation, and continuous improvement of purchasing processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 4 buyers-approvisionneurs including training and performance evaluation
• Prospect, evaluate, and select new suppliers and subcontractors
• Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, logistics, and costs
• Negotiate prices, lead times, and contracts
• Oversee purchasing operations across 3 TFCM facilities
• Manage outsourced production and resolve disputes
• Adjust orders based on client needs and production requirements
• Implement continuous improvement actions to drive productivity
