Senior Backend Engineer - Asset Sales

About the role

M-KOPA is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Asset Sales group and scale their FinTech platform. You will build and operate distributed, event-driven microservices on Azure while integrating AI tools into the engineering workflow. This role focuses on creating financial inclusion for under-banked populations across Africa.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate distributed C# and .NET microservices on Azure
• Design and maintain event-driven architecture at scale
• Own software components end-to-end from design through to production and iteration
• Utilize observability tools like Grafana and Azure Application Insights to monitor production behavior
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure platform resilience
• Experiment with AI tools to enhance engineering productivity and code quality
