Cloud Architect

About the role

The Cloud Architect will define cloud strategy and target architecture to meet enterprise-scale scalability, resilience, and high availability requirements. This role involves selecting appropriate technologies, establishing design standards, and ensuring security and financial efficiency through FinOps practices. The architect will also lead application modernization efforts and promote a strong DevOps and SRE culture across engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Define cloud strategy and target architecture for scalability, resilience, and high availability
• Select and justify technology choices (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) to both technical and business stakeholders
• Establish design, IaC, and automation standards and governance structures
• Design global security architecture including IAM, network segmentation, and data protection
• Lead application modernization from legacy systems to cloud-native architectures
• Implement FinOps by design to ensure economic efficiency and ROI tracking
• Promote DevOps and SRE culture, including reliability indicators and observability standards
