Business Operations Manager

About the role

SpAItial is seeking a diligent Business Operations Manager to own recurring business operations, including finance cycles, payroll, and vendor management. You will work directly with the COO to facilitate smooth operations and establish documented processes for a frontier AI company. This role requires high attention to detail and the ability to manage complex administrative workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the finance cycle including reconciliations, management accounts, expenses, and invoicing while tracking cash, burn, and budget.
• Oversee people operations such as payroll, onboarding, contracts, benefits, and employee documentation.
• Coordinate with external providers including payroll, pension, healthcare, banks, insurers, and legal counsel to ensure compliance.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and renewals, including compute and infrastructure commitments.
• Oversee the London office environment, including space management, equipment, and team events.
• Develop and document processes to transition manual workflows into efficient, automated systems.
• Prepare inputs for board materials, investor updates, and reporting packs while maintaining alignment with international colleagues.
