Business Development Director – Supply Chain Center of Excellence

About the role

The Business Development Director for the Supply Chain Center of Excellence will drive growth by winning new business within accounts in their territory. As a subject matter expert, the role involves leveraging deep domain insights to help customers transform their supply chain value chain using Cognite's industrial AI and data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a targeted territory strategy to accelerate bookings growth and secure high-impact supply chain clients.
• Actively prospect and leverage personal networks to generate pipeline and provide commercial insights.
• Lead extended territory teams through complex enterprise sales cycles to exceed bookings targets.
• Quantify ROI and present business cases to help enterprise executives justify software investments.
• Collaborate with partners to qualify and progress pipeline and drive joint engagements.
• Negotiate favorable pricing and commercial terms with C-level executives.
• Partner with internal Product Management and Marketing teams to feed market insights back into product strategy.
• Support accurate forecasting and maintain up-to-date account records in Salesforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 10+ years of experience in the Manufacturing and industrial supply chain environment
• 7+ years of direct or in-support sales experience selling enterprise software/SaaS to C-level executives
• Experience operating in high-growth startup environments
