About the role

The Director of Engineering for Performance and Insights will lead a 50-person organization focused on building data-driven digital products for top-tier sports clients. This role involves scaling engineering productivity through AI delegation patterns while ensuring high standards for reliability, platform quality, and operational readiness. You will manage cross-functional teams including web, mobile, data, and cloud engineering to deliver scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-calibre Product and Engineering function with strong technical credibility.
• Hire, develop, and align engineering leaders and specialists across sports and disciplines.
• Create practical standards for reliability, platform quality, and shared data governance.
• Identify systemic reliability risks and operational bottlenecks to drive resolution.
• Build the platform, data, and governance foundations required for AI-enabled software delivery.
• Define, build, and own the internal Platform-as-a-Service.
