Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager

About the role

NetBox Labs is seeking an accounting professional with a finance engineer's mindset to manage core accounting operations while leveraging AI and automation. This hands-on role involves overseeing month-end close, accounts payable, reconciliations, and audit readiness. The ideal candidate will identify manual bottlenecks and implement scalable, AI-powered workflows to improve financial accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analysis, and supporting schedules
• Own accounts payable, employee reimbursements, and corporate card programs, ensuring accurate coding and timely month-end accruals
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations with clear supporting documentation
• Partner with the Controller to continuously improve and automate the month-end close by identifying bottlenecks and designing AI-powered workflows
• Evaluate emerging AI, automation, and Finance technology solutions, recommend improvements, and lead implementation
• Work cross-functionally with Engineering and other teams to identify automation opportunities and eliminate manual processes
• Support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and ad hoc projects
• Support audit readiness by preparing audit schedules, maintaining documentation, and coordinating auditor requests
