Technical Lead, Observability

About the role

The Technical Lead for Observability will own the strategy, technical design, and rollout of observability across the entire stack. This hands-on leadership role involves setting direction, designing the stack, and guiding teams to ensure visibility into system performance and reliability. The role is critical for providing the data necessary for key decision-making and quantifying progress across all company products and services.

Responsibilities

• Set a unified observability strategy across teams and technical stacks
• Own the implementation of systems for metrics, logs, traces, alerts, and dashboards
• Define SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs in collaboration with product, research, and infrastructure teams
• Build end-to-end visibility of system dependencies and create visualizations for users and agents
• Automate tracking for coverage, reliability, alert quality, and execution costs
