About the role

KnowWay GmbH is seeking a Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business departments and technical delivery teams for AI-driven process automation projects. You will analyze complex, often undocumented business processes, model decision logic, and identify data flows to enable the development of AI agents for critical infrastructure sectors. This role involves working closely with stakeholders and technical teams to translate business needs into actionable data and AI use cases.

Responsibilities

• Elicit requirements through workshops, interviews, and process observation
• Analyze and model current-state processes, business rules, and decision logic using BPMN
• Identify and visualize data objects, relationships, source systems, and keys
• Trace data flows and assess the impact of data quality and availability on requirements
• Create process diagrams, functional concepts, decision templates, and presentations
• Manage stakeholder communication and expectations for assigned use cases
• Support business cases and approvals for AI, data protection, and governance
• Develop functional foundations for scoping, effort estimation, and proposals
• Track dependencies and open points while proactively addressing blockers
