Data Governance Consultant

About the role

As a Data Governance Consultant, you will work at the intersection of business, technology, and organization to help clients establish the ownership, processes, and capabilities needed to make their data trustworthy, accessible, and usable. You will define governance frameworks, embed them into operations, and enable organizations to create business value from their data and AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients’ data governance maturity, identify organizational and operational gaps, and develop actionable roadmaps.
• Design and implement data governance frameworks, including policies, standards, decision bodies, and escalation processes.
• Develop data governance operating models with clear roles and responsibilities for data owners, data stewards, and cross-functional teams.
• Help clients establish practical approaches to data quality management, including quality rules, monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Shape metadata management practices, including business glossaries, data catalogs, and data lineage.
• Translate governance requirements into processes and tooling needs in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.
• Prepare and facilitate workshops, develop training materials, and support the adoption of governance practices.
