AI Engineer (Agentic)

About the role

The Physical AI Engineering Team is responsible for building and scaling the platform that powers advanced engineering simulation and AI workflows. As a Senior AI Engineer, you will design, build, and ship the agentic layer of the Physical AI platform, creating systems that explore data, build models, and provide actionable results for engineering teams. This is a hands-on production role focused on taking agentic approaches from research to reliable, scalable deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build agents that run auto-research loops on customer engineering problems.
• Define tool interfaces and MCP servers to expose platform capabilities to agents.
• Own context and memory design for long-running agent tasks.
• Build evaluation harnesses and benchmarks to measure agent performance and prevent regressions.
• Instrument agents with tracing and observability for production monitoring.
• Design guardrails, sandboxed code execution, and permission models for safe agent operation.
• Collaborate with ML engineers on model training, evaluation, and library development.
