Engineering Manager - Core Team

About the role

The Engineering Manager will lead the Core Team responsible for the operator portal, which manages tenant electricity projects and complex energy industry regulations. The role begins with a six-month period as a developer within the team to gain deep technical and domain knowledge before transitioning into full team leadership. The manager will bridge business requirements with technical execution, ensuring high-quality delivery and team development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Core Team, including hiring, onboarding, 1:1s, and professional development.
• Prioritize product development based on economic value and regulatory requirements.
• Moderate architectural discussions and ensure high technical quality through tests and reviews.
• Act as the primary interface between Product, Support, and other engineering teams.
• Identify and resolve process bottlenecks to improve team efficiency.
• Manage delivery timelines and communicate project status proactively.

Qualifications
