About the role
The Director of Business Development will act as a new business hunter, identifying, prospecting, and closing net new accounts across TransPerfect's full portfolio of services. This role focuses on selling into mid-to-large corporate accounts, with an emphasis on leveraging creative production and linguistic services to drive growth. The successful candidate will manage the full sales cycle, from initial engagement to contract finalization, while collaborating with internal teams to design tailored client solutions.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage a pipeline of net new business across the French and European corporate market
- Identify and engage key decision-makers including CMOs, Heads of Communication, and Procurement Directors
- Develop tailored pitches and proposals that draw on the full breadth of TransPerfect's service offering
- Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, including RFP/RFI responses and commercial negotiation
- Collaborate with internal teams to design compelling, client-specific solutions
- Represent TransPerfect at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums
- Contribute to market intelligence by identifying trends and competitor movements
- Report pipeline, forecast, and activity accurately
