About the role
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will bridge the gap between product engineering and customer operations at a B2B compliance software company. You will be responsible for transforming complex certification and inspection workflows into reliable software and AI-powered tools. This role involves direct customer engagement, full-stack feature development, and taking ownership of product areas from discovery to production.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with customer teams to understand practical certification, inspection, and compliance tasks.
- Lead customer conversations, write specifications, and build end-to-end features across the frontend, backend, data model, and AI layer.
- Own product areas from early discovery through production in collaboration with leadership.
- Ship software quickly and iterate based on direct user feedback.
- Identify which customer requests serve broader needs versus specific workflows.
- Develop AI-powered workflows for scheduling, technical review, conformity assessment, field inspection, and document intelligence.
