About the role

The AI Platform team at Smartly builds and experiments with AI-based solutions to help marketers optimize ad creatives and campaigns. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and maintain backend services, support data scientists in productionizing machine learning models, and mentor team members on software development best practices. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into high-impact, scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend services that sit at the core of campaign optimization products.
• Be a core contributor to team processes, including work planning, retrospectives, and overall improvement.
• Support data scientists in bringing machine learning models to production.
• Mentor the team on software development practices such as testing, monitoring, and clean code.
• Continuously improve software architecture, coding practices, tools, and processes.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and infrastructure stakeholders to deliver viable solutions.
