About the role
Canonical is seeking a software developer to focus on dqlite, a distributed SQLite database that utilizes a Raft library for consensus and replication. The role involves designing and implementing enhancements to libraft, dqlite, and go-dqlite components used in projects like MicroK8s and LXD. You will also engage with the open source community and commercial partners while responding to user inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement features across dqlite
- Debug and fix issues encountered by users
- Improve Jepsen tests, traditional HA database automated testing and stress tests
- Participate in engineering process through code and architectural review
- Engage with the open source community and commercial partners
