About the role
The Digital Design Director leads all digital design output for the studio, owning the end-to-end design process from UX thinking to developer handover. This role involves guiding the team, setting quality standards, and ensuring all touchpoints are user-focused and on-brand. You will act as the primary digital design voice in client conversations while managing financial performance and integrating AI-assisted tools into studio workflows.
Responsibilities
- Lead digital design across UX, UI, application design, and platform experiences from concept through to build-ready delivery.
- Define and maintain the studio's design systems, component libraries, and digital consistency standards.
- Create and direct user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interface designs.
- Collaborate with creative, strategy, and development teams to deliver technically sound, visually compelling work.
- Lead developer handover, ensuring files, prototypes, and documentation are accurate and production-ready.
- Integrate AI-assisted design tools and workflows into studio processes, building team capability and setting quality benchmarks.
- Lead, develop, and inspire the digital design team through structured feedback and mentorship.
- Oversee annual design budgets, including cost estimation, resource planning, and financial reporting.
