About the role
Butternut Box is seeking an analytical Senior FP&A Analyst to support the business across reporting, planning, forecasting, and budgeting. The role involves managing rolling forecasts, conducting variance analysis, and providing insightful data to help the company meet its objectives in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with commercial and operational teams to model scenarios and support international expansion.
Responsibilities
- Run the rolling forecast process to understand how deviations from plan impact P&L and cash.
- Support budgeting and long-range planning processes and lead defined workstreams.
- Run periodic P&L and cash variance analyses and work with budget owners to implement solutions.
- Host 4-weekly periodic business reviews with budget owners to discuss risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to analyze CPA, growth rates, retention, and channel effectiveness.
- Collaborate with operational teams to analyze unit economics, standard costs, yield, and write-offs.
- Model scenarios for product and market launches and support international teams.
- Present analysis to senior leadership and prepare quarterly board materials.
