Software Engineer (Platform)

About the role

Algo1 is building an AI-native product to transform the in-store grocery experience. This role sits within the platform engineering pod, focusing on backend infrastructure and systems that enable product teams to ship scalable, high-quality solutions. You will work in an agentic-first environment, leveraging frontier AI tools to accelerate development and maintain robust platform standards.

Responsibilities

• Own product security, including authentication and authorisation across all services.
• Develop and maintain reliable, automated release cycles for production.
• Manage cloud environments supporting feature prototyping and backend microservices.
• Gatekeep the quality of APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architecture.
• Improve internal agentic harnesses to enable other teams to develop and prototype efficiently.
• Implement agentic automation across the platform stack.
