Lead Accountant

About the role

As Lead Accountant, you are responsible for financial reporting, closing, and controls for the Swiss entity in Visp while supporting other Swiss entities. You will provide functional support to accountants, develop standards, and drive the further development of internal control systems and ERP processes. This role requires working at the Visp site at least three days per week to remain close to operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Hold overall responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings under the Swiss Code of Obligations and prepare group consolidation.
• Support the transition to international accounting standards and manage reporting under IFRS or US GAAP.
• Manage relationships with statutory auditors and coordinate group-wide audits.
• Own the concept, build-up, and development of the internal control system under Swiss law.
• Drive the development of the record-to-report process in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and prioritize automation initiatives.
• Provide functional support and coaching to accountants and lead finance projects.
