Sr. Software Engineer

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an experienced Lead .NET Engineer to provide technical leadership and architectural guidance. You will design and implement secure, scalable enterprise applications and services across a diverse product portfolio. This role involves mentoring team members, driving engineering best practices, and contributing to innovative solutions that support global scientific discovery.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and maintainable applications and services using C#/.NET 8 and ASP.NET Core.
• Develop and maintain desktop applications using WPF where required.
• Design and develop secure, reliable, and well-structured RESTful APIs.
• Develop efficient data-access layers using Entity Framework Core.
• Define and promote application design principles, coding standards, and software engineering best practices.
• Ensure applications meet requirements for quality, performance, security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development and secure-coding standards.
• Mentor and coach development team members and provide technical guidance where required.
