Project Risk Manager

About the role

The Project Risk Manager is responsible for the early identification, transparent assessment, and active management of risks and opportunities throughout the lifecycle of complex international EPC and turnkey projects. Working closely with project leadership and teams, the role involves coordinating mitigation strategies and providing a solid foundation for project decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Steuerung der Risiken und Chancen in komplexen internationalen EPC- und Turnkey-Projekten
• Identifikation und Bewertung technischer, kommerzieller, terminlicher und vertraglicher Projektrisiken und -chancen
• Entwicklung, Abstimmung und Nachverfolgung geeigneter Maßnahmen zur Risikominimierung und Chancennutzung
• Durchführung und Moderation von Risk Reviews und Workshops mit Projektleitung, Fachbereichen und weiteren Projektstakeholdern
• Anwendung und konsequente Umsetzung etablierter Risikomanagement-Prozesse und -Methoden innerhalb der Projektabwicklung
• Sicherstellung einer transparenten, nachvollziehbaren und auditierbaren Risiko- und Chancendokumentation sowie entsprechendes Reporting

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a comparable qualification
• Long-term experience in project and risk management of complex international large-scale projects in energy and plant engineering
• Proven experience in identification, assessment and management of project risks and opportunities
• Strong communication, moderation and negotiation skills
