About the role

The Head of Groups will own the strategy and execution for supporting AI safety university groups globally. This role involves launching new initiatives, managing funding, representing the organization externally, and building a team to scale the impact of university-based AI safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategy for how the organization supports university groups.
• Launch and manage new initiatives such as regional organizing and residencies.
• Oversee funding decisions for groups and organizers.
• Represent the organization to external partners, universities, and funders.
• Build, hire, and manage the groups team as it grows.
