Senior AI Engineer / Technical Consultant

About the role

Artefact is seeking a Senior AI Engineer and Technical Consultant to lead the design and delivery of impactful AI and data solutions. You will combine hands-on engineering with client advisory to guide multi-disciplinary teams from initial opportunity framing through to production deployment.

Responsibilities

• Own solution architecture and delivery by defining end-to-end architectures and driving projects from PoC to production.
• Lead complex PoCs and pilots to validate AI/ML use cases and convert them into scalable products.
• Build, adapt, and evaluate ML/DL/LLM models using Python and modern frameworks.
• Design and operate solutions on cloud platforms including CI/CD, containers, and monitoring pipelines.
• Provide client advisory and stakeholder management by translating business goals into technical roadmaps.
• Enforce best practices regarding data privacy, model risk management, and responsible AI.
• Mentor team members, perform code reviews, and help shape delivery standards.
• Support pre-sales activities including proposals, estimates, and statements of work.
