About the role

The Electrical Design Engineer will work on electrical studies during pre-project and project phases within the defense and shipbuilding sector. The role involves acting as a technical lead, managing design activities, and ensuring compliance with regulations and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Draft technical specifications for vessels during the pre-project phase.
• Size and define electrical equipment and establish cost estimates.
• Manage the workload and planning for the design team.
• Validate technical purchases from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure technical compliance of design documents and follow up on plan approvals with regulatory bodies.
• Propose technical improvements to reduce costs and weight through value analysis.
