About the role

The Senior Import Specialist will manage and execute international import operations, specifically focusing on shipments from Asia. The role involves overseeing the entire supply chain process from sea ports to company warehouses, ensuring efficient logistics and customs compliance.

Responsibilities

• Organize and book sea freight imports from China and Asia
• Negotiate sea freight rates and manage freight forwarders
• Coordinate and calculate inland transport from ports to warehouses
• Monitor shipments and manage container deliveries with warehouse teams
• Execute customs clearance and manage fiscal customs procedures
• Classify goods using HS codes and calculate total import costs
• Communicate daily with international suppliers, forwarders, and authorities
