About the role
Skeleton Technologies is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage financial operations for its German entities. The role involves overseeing balance sheets, month-end closing, and statutory reporting while collaborating with the group accounting team and external advisors.
Responsibilities
- Own the balance sheet and month-end close for our two German entities
- Prepare monthly financial statements, annual reports and local statutory reports
- Prepare or coordinate tax returns and local tax reporting together with our external tax advisors
- Review and record accruals and other period-end adjustments
- Lead external audits as the main contact for the auditors
- Act as the contact for government institutions, external advisors, payroll partners and internal stakeholders
- Identify financial and tax risks, propose solutions and take the lead on new topics as they arise
- Develop and document accounting processes and policies to strengthen internal controls
