Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

This role sits within the Financial Reporting Team and provides financial reporting support to help the business achieve its objectives. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a variety of projects including technical accounting, statutory reporting, taxation, finance transformation, and M&A activity. It is a growth-oriented position requiring a technical mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to project initiatives within the finance transformation roadmap and lead projects from planning through to implementation.
• Assist internal and external reporting teams with the preparation of management accounts and financial statements.
• Support corporate finance activities and strategic projects including due diligence and transaction-related work streams.
• Assist the Internal Reporting Team on general ledger system enhancement initiatives.
• Enhance controls and processes to build a strong control framework for IPO-readiness.
• Work with the Finance Data team to improve automation and build scalable processes.
• Support tax structuring and planning by liaising with external advisors and presenting complex tax issues to non-finance colleagues.
• Prepare and review technical accounting papers and supporting working files.
