AI Engineer

About the role

As one of the first dedicated AI Engineers, you will build agents that turn the GCP data platform and governed context layer into automated, tool-calling workflows. You will embed with teams to identify high-leverage processes for automation and ship production-grade agents. This role involves defining standards for the Data and AI team and creating reusable components like skills, connectors, and templates to accelerate future development.

Responsibilities

• Embed with teams to map processes and identify automation opportunities.
• Build tool-calling agents that function as reliable production systems.
• Develop reusable skills, connectors, evals, and templates for agent-building.
• Manage hand-offs by providing running systems with runbooks and eval frameworks.
• Define standards for agent accuracy, cost, guardrails, and data handling while mentoring team champions.
